National Disability Insurance Scheme Information

Support in Confidence

National Disability Insurance Scheme or NDIS is a funding scheme that provides financing for support services accessible to eligible Australians with significant or permanent disability/ies. The NDIS is governed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

It also provides early intervention support to children aged seven and under who have acquired developmental delay.

With NDIS, you are financially supported to acquire and access a wide range of support services or products from NDIS providers.

As a NDIS provider, our goal is to help you and your loved ones with daily life task and participate in the community - eventually rebuilding and improving personal skills, and promoting independence.

Who Can Manage My NDIS funding?

NDIS Managed

You can tap the NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) to manage your NDIS funding. To be able to access supports, you are only able to use NDIS registered providers and they pay your provider on your behalf.

Plan Managed

You can choose your NDIS-registered Plan Manager to manage your funding. They will act as a representative to make the payments and keep track of your funds on your behalf. You will be able to access supports or services from NDIS providers, registered or not.

Self Managed

This gives you the most control over how you spend your funding. You can receive supports from either registered or non-registered NDIS service providers and can directly employ support workers. You will also be responsible for the financial and administrative side of your plan. You will need to create a specific bank account for this purpose.

Combination of Three Options

You may choose to have areas of your funding management delegated among yourself, a NDIS-registered Plan Manager and/or the NDIA. As an example, you may manage your own core support budget to start with and have the capacity building or capital support budget managed by the NDIA.
